notify the creater of the referenced nodes?

Hi, thanks for this module.

When a user creates a smack down, they must reference 2 nodes. Is it possible to ask for the creater or author of them two nodes permission before the smackdown is created?

So usera goes to create a smackdown, he selects his two nodes, clicks save, 2 notifications are sent out one to the author of node1 one to the author of node2, askng for permission to be entered into a smackdown, once both have clicked they accept, the smackdown is published for public use?
