Ever design a site and happen on a nifty trick that you may want to use again? You wrote it down and lost the paper, didn't you.

You designed a great site for someone else, and the first thing they do is call you up and say "How do I do...?"

You can't remember all the modules, themes, and CSS changes you made and it's time to upgrade...

You'd love to put all that stuff on the web site, some place easy to find, but safe from casual hackers...

Well, here you go... Introducing SiteNotes. A simple module lots of uses.

SiteNotes introduces a new content type, called, coincidentally, "sitenotes." But wait... there's more... It also creates a menu item in the Admin >> Site building menu, where it's available only to privileged users. It's even protected by Access Control.

So now all those little Post-Its and other scraps of paper can go right into your database where you can find them again.

Create "How To" notes for your users, theme changes, CSS modifications, special code notes, and keep them safe AND available.

This offer is not available in stores.

Special thanks goes to incrn8 without whose help this module would have never made it to fruition. And he now has co-maintainer status for this module.

I'd also like to thank the 18 original users who adopted this module before it reached contributed status.

Now, at no extra charge, I've included "sticky" and weighting. But there's even more! The sort order now is standard node ordering: sticky, weight, and created date. All for the same incredibly low price!

Note: if you are updating from a prior version, make sure you run update.php and make sure update 1 is selected for sitenotes.

Version Status

The 5.x version is now deprecated. It is still available through the link below, but there will be no maintenance on it.

About Releases

The most current code will always be in the "-dev" release.

I create "official" releases when I'm planning a significant new feature, not with every bug fix or feature. If you have an issue with an "official" release, please download the most recent "-dev" release before reporting the issue.
