Is this compatible with organic groups? Would all the users keep all their groups and be able to acess them from any site?

You'll have to test and find out. I recommend setting up a test site for this. Let us know how you go.

I'm using SSO with OG and Domain Access. Users are able to access their groups from any subdomain their group node is published to.
