That depends on Search API, http://drupal.org/project/search_api, which I don't think will be ported to D6.

Since Search relies heavily on entities and other D7 features, there is not really any chance it will be ported to D6. Therefore, the same will probably be true for this module.
Come to D7, we have cookies! ;)
