Scale Address Field is a utility Drupal module that helps Drupal scale when unauthenticated users are presented with forms containing Address Fields.

Basic feature rundown

  • Resolves scalability issues related to rendering AJAX/AHAH-enabled forms to unauthenticated users (specifically those using Address Field). Symptoms include:
    • An extremely large cache_form table,
    • Stability issues caused by database locks during cache_form deletes during cron runs,
    • Unreasonably high disk IOPS on your database container
  • Some cool UX/DX features too!
    • Country selection / field swapping is instantaneous (see jquery.addressfield)
    • A sane way to override address field labels, select options, and field order (see addressfield.json)
