Despite assigning permissions to a role to use 'save as draft' no button appears in the publishing options?
I've cleared my caches and rebuilt permission without luck.. stumped?

realityloop commentedIt gets displayed in the Publishing settings section of the node edit form.
The users that need access to Save as Draft features either need Administer Nodes permissions or you can use http://drupal.org/project/override_node_options to grant access to "override [nodetype] published option" which makes the checkbox available.
