I have a rule setup to send a message to a single user but I'm get an error of

publishMessageToContentChannel: The channel "rules_nodejs_user_401609" doesn't exist.

I'm using version 7.x-1.6 of the nodejs module and not sure if this a problem with how I have it configured or if it's another problem.

Can you check if module nodejs_watchdog correctly working for you?
