Unable to access homepage

Hello,

I've been trying to create a rule where an anonymous user is redirected to the register page if they try to access a specific kind of node called "Article." For some reason, with the settings I have (see attached), the rule works fine for anonymous users, but they are unable to access the site's homepage as well. Instead, they are redirected to the register page. The homepage is not a node of type "Article," which is why I am confused.

I have a feeling the solution is very trivial, if someone could take a look at my settings below, I'd appreciate it.
