Rules 7.x-2.6 working with Workflow 7.x-2.0beta2

When attempting a rule to set Workflow to specific state, we get this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getCreationSid() on a non-object in /home/xxxx/public_html/yyyy/sites/all/modules/workflow/workflow.module on line 542

If this is still a problem, please open a new issue with complete details of how to reproduce the error. Include an export of your Rule and try to simplify the Rule as much as possible first.
