Loop over items of multivalue field

Hello,
I have a node type1 which is referencing (e.g. field_reference) to another node type2 with multivalue field_x. If I fetch node type1 I can see the content of the field_x using the logic: [fetched-item:field-reference:field-x]. But the value is a comma separated string like: value1, value2, value3 How can I loop over this values? Is it possible?
