I've set up a rule roughly like so:

Events: Node save
Conditions: Published within the last 24 hours
Actions:
Delete URL alias "videos";
Delete URL alias "video";
Set URL alias "videos" => Drupal path: "node/nid";
Set URL alias "video" => Drupal path: "node/nid"

The result: only the last URL alias "video" is honored. The one before "videos" is knocked out of the database. Visiting "/videos" results in a 404.
