RootCandy is an awesome administration theme. It would be great if we could also create subthemes without losing the 'Theme-specific settings' on the theme configuration form. Or is there already a way to do it?

if you want to use theme-settings for your sub-theme of rootcandy, you will have to copy that file to your sub-theme too, theme-settings.php file is not being inherited from base themes in Drupal 6
