I'd be interested in upgrading this module to Drupal 6. At the moment I have been working with nodereference and userreference, and I have managed to create blockreference. I would be able to whip up a role reference in a matter of hours for Drupal 6, what do you think?

As danielb says, I have the intention of porting this module to Drupal 6. I think it should be done by next week, so I will update this issue with the development status.

Basically a fork of nodereference, rolereference in 6 can be found at http://drupal.org/node/356213

You may need to resave your field configuration after an upgrade from 5-6 to see values in your old content.

Does this module intend to include grant node permission 'view' 'edit' to role like user reference?
