I'm running Drupal 5.7 and for some reason after creating a user and assigning a role to them with restricted access to posting only 1 content type, once logged in as this user they apparently have access to all content types as well as other administrative menu options that only the admin should have. I even created a new user, assigned no roles to them what so ever and logged in with said user, and again all access to all admin options and content types appears.
I have no idea why this is not working in my 5.7 installation, yet no problems with this on another installation that is version 5.6.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

elliot commentedThis doesn't sound like a role control issue, as you say you haven't assigned any roles to the user. I'll need some more information about your setup before I can offer any advice.
Are you using other modules? Is this a stock installation? What settings do you have under Access Control? There are probably more I'd need as well.
