Ive created a related content block, ticked which content type, ticked which vocab to use, and assigned to a region.

The block is not displaying at all when viewing a node (node/nid).

The nodes I am viewing have terms in the vocab I selected, and these terms are applied to other nodes as well.

Fixed in dev - however I would advise waiting for a stable release. Dev is a WIP. Sorry for the inconvenience.
