I've gone the entity reference route, but one downside that folks might want to be aware of is the lack of a functioning way to import nodes with entity references via feeds. calling out the issue where that effort is active might bring some light to that issue: 1341012
thanks for everything you're doing!

Alex Andrascu commentedDo you mind if i move this to the Entity reference module...i think it belongs there.

Actually I was targeting this module's main project page. Since there is text there encouraging people to use Entity Reference, I thought the suggestion should come with a mention of 1341012, which is already attached to Entity Reference. (When that one becomes solved, the mention on this project page would get that automatic crossed out thingy, no?)
If this is a bad idea, I won't be offended by a "Won't Fix".
regards and thanks

Alex Andrascu commentedChristian,
I was poundering about that message when i took over maintenance of References. The only reason i'm still keeping it is because i understand that Entity References will be in Drupal 8's core and there's alot more effort going towards it then currently on References.
I've reviewed the main page of this module and considered your request.

sokrplare commentedIt looks like that Feeds issue (#1341012: Feeds integration for Entity reference fields) has been fixed in the Entity Reference module so the bullet point about it can now be removed from this module's project page?
