lisarex commentedtagging.
c4rl, something you want to do?

c4rl commentedIn order to duplicate this, I had to first change my browser settings such that it *only* zoomed text size, which is not the default. Then I had to zoom in 6 times.
At this point, the entire layout is basically broken, not just the menu. See attached.
The larger issue at hand is to what degree the theme should support text-only zoom.
Since most major browsers default to zooming the layout instead of just the text, @lisarex and I have elected to postpone for the sake of higher priority issues.

jweowu commentededit: I've removed my original reply. I got confused by your comments and renaming of this one, as I had already logged a separate issue for the home page scaling problem (#941160: QA: Top region of home page does not scale (text-only) [theme]).
This issue was intended specifically for the top menu (which can be a problem on all pages, not just the home page), so I think it should probably be renamed back to what it was.

Everett Zufelt commentedI would recommend familiarizing yourself with http://drupal.org/node/769692 . I am not sure what the project requirements for the redesign entail, but likely it should at least follow the accessibility guidelines we have put in place for Core themes. This means compliance, where possible, with WCAG 2.0 level AA. Looking at WCAG 2.0 level AA you will find the answer to your question about requirements for font resizing.

c4rl commentedI understand this issue is important. I made some improvements to the CSS to support text-scaling. Visible at http://redesign.drupal.org
@jweowu or @Everett Zufelt, do you mind reviewing?

jweowu commentedThanks, this is working nicely for me in Firefox 3.6.10, Opera 10.6.2, and IE8.0.
