6.x-1.7 is over a year old and there are helpful patches that have been committed since then. (I'm mainly interested in the fix described in #1124950: reCAPTCHA uses a new HTTPS API URL, which was committed a long time ago.)
Is there any chance we could have a stable 6.x-1.8 release that includes these fixes to avoid using patches or the -dev release code for sites in production that are still running Drupal 6?

liam morlandI don't have time to be the Drupal 6 maintainer for reCAPTCHA. If people can verify that the current development version of D6 reCAPTCHA is ready to be tagged as a release, I will put that tag on, but I don't have the time or the D6 environment needed to do anything more than tag the release.

hass commentedRC2 is out, but I cannot recommend using 1.x any longer.
