This module is exactly what I was looking for. It would be perfect to have VBO support so I can set multiple nodes as "Read only" with few clicks.

If I start with a patch, I will publish it here.

How can this patch already be committed? The patch was created in Feb 2016 yet the latest version is from Aug 2015!
