Brings a set of simple yet powerfull content and comment editing features, based on the Markdown format and the PageDown (Stack Overflow's) editor.

This module page is yet a placeholder and will turn into a full-on project in a near future.

Main features are:

  • Brings a new Markdown text filter: the existing Markdown module uses an outdated PHP library within its stable reealse: this module uses the same library but up-to-date;
  • Brings the PageDown editor from StackOverflow as a field widget
  • The same editor is brought as textarea element extension and can be easily used on any textarea of the site;
  • Add a quote comment or selected text feature, mainly for node and comments, fully JS driven, which will reformat and cleanup any selected text on the page and paste it as a well formated Mardown blockquote into the focused textarea;
  • No matter if you use the PageDown widget or not, the quote links will work on any textarea;
  • Brings the jQuery.autosize plugin with a tiny retro compatibility layer for jQuery 1.4: you don't have to use jQuery update even though updating jQuery is also supported.

Per default this module ships quote links on node and comments.

There is no stable release launch date. First releases will live on github (link will be provided in the new few weeks) and maybe moved back to drupal.org when considered as stable enough.
