View modes

Hi,

I'm using the views modes module. The views modes module uses a query string to identify the view display to... display. I'm also using the better exposed filters module.

The ideal situation would be for the query string to persist only within the context of the view. As the user refines his or her search with the exposed filters, they could stay within the same view mode. But if the user navigates away from the view, the query string wouldn't persist.

Is this currently possible with the purl api?
