Referral Sources [#1166230]

The Referral Sources module is abandoned and, currently, unusable. I'd like to take it over per #1097618: Offering to maintain Referral Sources. I do have a sandbox Git account but not a full one.

I would like to take it over temporarily and bring it up to snuff so it actually works, and keep a callout on the Project page saying that I'm looking for a new maintainer for features and whatnot.

Thank you for taking the initiative to step in and help out with a stalled module.

Just to clarify for any other reviewers, the referenced link is to the webmaster issue queue, and demonstrates that Offlein has already worked his way through the 'abandoned module' process.

The next step of the process would be to create a copy of the Referral Sources module in your Git sandbox, and go ahead with your proposed fixes. Once complete, come back to this issue, post the link to your sandbox project page, outline the changes that you have made, and update the status of this ticket to 'needs review'. At that point, someone will be along to review your application.

Unfortunately, without seeing your own code, we cannot perform a 'Full Project Access' review at this time.

In addition, as there is currently a fairly large backlog in this project application queue; I'd also suggest you also post your changes as a patch in the Referral Sources issue queue as well as another 'request to maintain' ticket ... while it likely won't go anywhere, there's always a chance the maintainer may come back and commit the patch (or grant you commit access on the module).

I realize that this seems like a lot of runaround for an admittedly circular process ... thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.
