In the video that outlines the features of pmDrupal, what is the relationship between Drupal Users and Roles and the PM users and Groups?
Thanks

ethnp commentedHi Stephen,
There is currently no relationship between Drupal users and ProcessMaker users.
In theory, a Drupal user could log in as another user if they had the other users credentials.
The user that you use connect to ProcessMaker with is defined in your user profile. You would setup the username and password there.

StephenOTT commentedOkay so at the moment you would have to duplicate groups on both sides.
Another option would be to use something like LDAP to abstract the group structures into a common system that both Drupal and PM can access

ethnp commentedRight. ProcessMaker actually has an extension that allows users to login with their LDAP credentials. So, we could just pass on the drupal user credentials to ProcessMaker, since they would be the same.
The problem would come when users are not using LDAP in both situations.

StephenOTT commentedAgreed. Getting Ldap or some sort of secondary/common ldap is not usually a big deal for types of users who would need pmDrupal. The concern will always be having to create a user in 1 location rather than trying to maintain two sets of users and groups. In your Video you show assignment to users, but in practice assignment to groups (even a group of 1 users) would be much more practical and common. So maintaining groups is a burden unless synchronized.
