I am trying to use the gallery overview option with facebook. The pictures are on a facebook page and I have an app that is connected to the page. I also created permanent token. I had this working at one point but it stopped working without touching anything. I have since tried many combinations of tokens and user ids. Can you confirm that the user id should be my personal account's id and that the token should be the permanent token and nothing else.

Hi Izamina,

There are 2 options, the pictures are eighter located on a Page or on your profile. In case of the Page, you will need the page ID. For your profile it has to be your user ID.

In both cases you will need a valid access token. It doens't matter wheter it's permanent or not, as long as it is valid you're OK.

Also keep in mind that the pictures need to be shared publicly, else it won't work!
