Opening of Plugin Manager shows available modules and allows to select it. But when I try to install it I get an error "No backends are usable."
When I try to open Settings of Plugin Manager I get an error "There are no available backends for use.".

ralfeus commentedThe problem was caused by inability to define backends.
By default there are 2 backends in Plugin Manager - ftp and ssh. FTP backend requires FTP support to be enabled in PHP. Same is for SSH. So by re-compiling PHP with FTP support problem was solved.
