I noticed as I tested the Preview button (I rarely use that button... 8-) ) that the Ping.fm setup is always reset to defaults after such a click.

I'm not too sure why that happens except for the fact that you have the defaults hard coded. I wonder how other modules handle that special case...

If I find something I'll post the solution here, so far, I cannot see how it should work.

Sounds very similar to #287370 and #382634 to me - and those are Drupal issues.

Dont think so, sounds more like mishandling setting and retrieving variables. I am looking at installing this on a couple sites, so will take a look at some of the code and see what i can come up with.

Due to this issue being over two years old and almost a year since the last response I'm moving this issue to closed. Also I believe that the current dev will fix this issue.
