Yesterday I installed phpgedview 4.0.2. and the phpgedview module for Drupal (5.x-1.0). After some fumbling around I got everything to work. However after testing what anonymous and authenticated users would see I could not login to phpgedview anymore with a user that was working fine before (the admin user). I read about cookie issues and removed those several times, used different browsers etc. but nothing helped. I also tried with some other users but these are also not working anymore. I hope someone could help me get the logins working again / the mapping to work properly again. Everytime I try to access the embedded phpgedview I get a phpgedview login screen but can't get in.

Additionally, if I now click on one of the logged in users, e.g. http://www.example.com/blog/user/1 I get the phpgedview login page, where before it would show me the account details for that user.... Very strange.

I am not sure if this is the same problem or not. I am using phpgedview-5.x-1.x-dev. When I login to Drupal with an admin of PHPGEDVIEW, and I click on the link to go to PHPGEDVIEW, it doesn't automatically log me in.

Administer / PHPGEDVIEW, I see where my accounts are paired up correctly under mapped users. When I click on PHPGEDVIEW, and click on admin, I am prompted to log in. How do I get my admin users to be able to log into Drupal and automatically get admin to PHPGEDVIEW?

The recent updates fixed problems for anonymous users, but I have found that there is still some problem with logged-in users getting into it. Unfortunately, I have to pull off of this for now to get other things done, and so far I don't have an answer.

I believe the problems are if you set it up to use the internal path, so try changing your settings to use the external path instead until I get this figured out. The external path will link you to PhpGedView in its own window instead of in an iframe.

I changed the PHPGEDVIEW to external from embedded, and now I get the error in my browser, can’t open the page - too many redirects occurred, when I click on my link for PHPGEDVIEW.

I installed drupal and the module phpgedview - it worked a few times, and then again a few times when clearing the cookie.

My impression is that this module is not stable at all.
I tried to find sites where this works, but found none -even the authors demo site doesnt work http://www.elderweb.com

Sorry the authors demo site is:

The PhpGedView maintainers wanted this code moved to their repository, which is why there are no files here any more. I removed all the code from this project at their request. All further work must be done in the PhpGedView repository.

I'm closing the remaining issues and unpublishing the project page.
