Pay2publish is a great concept and I fully understand its uses. I am wondering why you used the category module rather than core Drupal taxonomy, since only a very basic taxonomy is required and category is very complex. You mention making it integrate with Drupal taxonomy. Would this then eliminate the need for the category module?

marcoBauli commentedhowdy, i'm glad to announce that now P2P should work both with Category or core Taxonomy
please try it out and report back here ;)

NewZeal commentedThat's great news, Marco.
The problem I was having was that the site already uses core taxonomy and when I installed pay2publish it hid core taxonomy and made it no longer accessible.
This is a great concept for a module and one that should attract some more sponsorship in its time.
I assume it is the dev version I should be looking at, am I correct? I'll try that first.

NewZeal commentedHi Marco,
I'm having some luck so far, however in order to get control of the core taxonomy back I had to re-upload the taxonomy module since the wrapper rewrites it. Also, new instructions are in order. After I get the module working I can write them up here for the benefit of the next person.

NewZeal commentedAfter I get the module working...?
But I didn't!!
I set up actions and price and everything, selected a content type, and it turned the node into a product that other people could buy which was not the intention, and after creating the node I wasn't directed to pay for it. Once I selected the 'Paid Advertising' radio, it went gray and I could no longer untick it whatever I did (turn product off or on), nor select a period.
While the intentions of this module are good and lots of work has been done on it, there appear to be a lot of unresolved issues and unfinished work.

keyo commentedThe same thing happened to me. I made some priced packages for listing content of certain category and node type. Then when creating the content I was never asked the fee.

marcoBauli commentedprobably this is not documented well enough:
. every node actually becomes a product, because the advertiser can opt to pay to 'upgrade' it at any time.
. this can be done from the node's creator profile page: under the 'payments' block the advertiser can decide to pay or upgrade a single node (product) to a higher level, and thus publish more content and get more visibility for that specific node.
this probably could go in a support issue apart to better explain the functioning of the module. I'm sorry but in this period i'm so very busy in changing home / office, and in opening my own drupal business, so i cannot assist much with Pay2Publish. In case anyone is willing to maintain the module is very welcome to contact me. Thx!

keyo commentedIs there a site site I can see with this module working?
