Consider the following scenario.

An alias has been given for a content edit page as 'XXX/YYY'. Hence the content edit page will be 'XXX/YYY/edit'.
Now when another alias is given for some other page as 'XXX/YYY/ZZZ' then it goes to the view page of above content instead of the intended page.

The following patch checks if the current requested URL has 'edit' in its URL components and then redirects to corresponding edit page.

Thanks for the patch Elavarasan!

It's a little hacky in that it will only work for the Edit tab, right?
Not for any other tabs that may apply....

Hi RdeBoer,

Thanks for your replay!

Yes you are correct, so i have removed that patch and implemented the code in hook_url_inbound_alter() for any custom url that are followed by node alias. Now it is working fine.

Not a patch, that is 'hook_url_inbound_alter()' function in custom module.
