Use of Panelizer since version 3.1 still not working for my site, mikenyerges.us

Up through ver. 7.x-3.1, I could customize the display of a node with content panes created in the Views module, and then use Views to display the customized nodes with various filters, such as taxonomy or something basic, like “published.” The "Format" set in Views is Unformatted for Panelizer display/full content.

I’ve tried 7.x-3.x-dev and each version following 3.1, but the panelized content won’t display; only node titles. The content will display if each node is displayed separately. But I can’t use Views. So, I will keep running 3.1, and since I’m the only one creating content, I don’t believe the security concern with that version is an issue.

More recent versions still aren’t working for me. But I keep hoping. Will this ever be resolved?

I'm sorry about that. There are some existing issues about the Views integration being broken, please take a look at e.g. #2817795: Panelizer display format does not work with Views.

Thanks. I'll give Panelizer 7.x-3.4 another try with the patch by Golds. It's not terribly difficult to roll the site back if it doesn't work, but the explanation of the patch makes sense. But then again, my knowledge of Drupal isn't terribly deep and although I'm long past the time that I should have sat down to acquire some coding skill with PHP, at 67, I'm an old guy... and there's something about teaching an 'old dog new tricks' that keeps my ambitions in check.
