When exporting a Panelizer defaults variable via Features, e.g. the "panelizer_defaults_node_video" variable for a Video content type, it can result in messy data. Specifically it will initially export a 'default' attribute with the value "0", then when it's updated again it'll instead have the name "default display".

This removes the 'default' value from the settings array default, and always removes the 'default display' value prior to saving the variable.
