Problem/Motivation

I'm in D11 and have tried versions ^1.4 , 2.0@beta and the dev version with this patch applied but when i select 'Optional end date' on a date range field's settings it still displays an end date field in the content form and the end date field auto fills to whatever date is entered in the start date.

I'd assumed that there'd be some kind of conditional field kind of "Add end date" boolean switch on the content form's date field which would reveal the end date field.

There's nothing in the Manage Form Display widget that helps.

Can somebody please explain if this is how the module is supposed to work?

Hi I'm sorry for the long wait.

I just tested this on a clean D11 installation, and it seems to do what I expect.
It doesn't change anything in the "Manage form display" settings.

It allows me to make the end date optional (in field settings), and after it's optional I can choose not to set it on the individual entities.

When the entity is viewed it uses the settings from the formatter, which I've setup in the "Manage display".

Does the clarification help anything?
