What is the current stand of layerswitcher customization with Drupal? Is it possible to organize layers in groups/trees, like can be done e.g. with Mapfish? (see example http://demo.mapfish.org/mapfishsample/trunk/examples/tree/tree_automatic...) Thanks for your help!

tmcw commentedThere are no plans to implement this kind of feature in the Drupal module, as it aims to be only a wrapper to existing OpenLayers functionality. It looks like this could be a version in OpenLayers 3, but that development cycle is not likely to be short. This could be implemented as an add-on module that mixes some MapFish into the module's behaviors (I believe strk is messing around with GeoExt/MapFish).
