Hiya.
Not sure if Im missing something or if this a bug.
Basically Im using google maps as my baselayer and then using maptiler images for an overlay.
The only problem is the maptiler overlay is not visible by default.
It has to be turned on manually, which makes my overlay pretty useless.

I noticed the maptiler layer is a baselayer (even though the option is unchecked).
Subsequently there is no option to have the overlay activated by default.

Is there an option to have the maptiler overlay visible by default?
Any help would be much appreciated

Came across this in the issues

Where someone has reported the same issue with an image attached to show you what I mean.
Sorry that this post is basically a duplicate.
Still no-one replied to that issue.

After some thought I figured there must be a simple hack or js code to activate the maptiler overlay.
I looked in firebug and it seems that the only thing that needs to be added is;

checked=""

I just dont know where to start.
Any help would be awesome.

This should be fixed in this commit: http://drupalcode.org/viewvc/drupal/contributions/modules/openlayers/inc...

Can you check whether it's fixed for you by switching to -dev?

I can confirm that you are a legend!
Problem solved.
MapTiler Layers now appear in the Overlays section when not set as a baselayer.
Cheers dude, much appreciated.
