I made a module that allows attaching of KML to a node and displaying it with openlayers.

The module just adds a formatter to filefield to allow display off attached KML as a map.

Hopefully someone finds this useful.

I already have a shapefile file upload for spatial-widget. So it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to get this KML working as part of that system.

My apologies.. This doesn't actually do what I thought it did. This is a formatter for a filefield, not a KML import widget for an openlayers_wkt field, so it won't really integrate well with the spatial-widget module.

Still totally useful, I would encourage it to be released as a stand-alone module.

@capuchin good to see it all came together! Changing title so users can find easier and putting link on project page. This would be a good module to put up on drupal.org. It would be nice to see an openlayers_extra module as a more grouped approach, but that's not something I have much time to think about.
