how to have custom icon on each feature?

I'd like each feature on my map to have a custom icon. Ideally, the icon to use would be a field on the node itself, so you could upload the icon. I've already got a custom style, but I don't see how to have the icon to show decided based on data in the feature itself. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
