I'm adding the percent sign in a pie tool tip, so

$g->set_tool_tip(" #x_label#<br>#val#%");
or
$g->set_tool_tip(" #x_label#<br>#val# &#38;");

but that gives me random garbage as tip

Okay, sorry, I should use %25, so $g->set_tool_tip(" #x_label#<br>#val#%25");
