This is a simple module that adds the ability for node editors to specify a individual site user or users from a node edit form that will generate a email to those users when the node is saved. It provides the ability to add custom email subject and additional body text. The module itself is not limited to moderation state changes or roles and can be used at any point in the node creation process.
