Hi

What's about moving the little "Settings fieldset" at 'user/%user/edit' into an own LOCAL_TASK at 'user/%user/notifications/settings' ? Of course I see that this only would work if UI is turned on. But there could be a short "Check structure" and if UI is enabled the Settings appear there.

Please let me know If you also interessted in that and I'll do the work and post a patch.

I think it wouldn't look bad when you consider the whole UI but it would need some checks moving around messaging, notifications, autosubscribe fields, etc...

So I don't think the feature is really worth the trouble.

Anyway, alternate ui modules and add ons will be welcomed here if you want to create a small module, http://drupal.org/project/notifications_extra
