I examined the file in question, and most certainly messaging_text_replace() is called a number of times. I couldn't find the function declaration within the module. I know these things are typically pretty straight forward. If someone could give me a poke in the right direction.

FYI.. I did look for notifications_text_replace() in my files, couldn't find that either...

That's in messaging module, you need to update it to latest version too.
