Okay-I am lost. Notifications says that it is incompatible with php 4.4.9. So does that come from Drupal? or my web host who claims we are running 5.2.6?

I think this is why i am having so much trouble. If i need to post this somewhere else, please tell me where.

Well, then there are two of us lost :-)

It goes like this: Notifications reports to Drupal core it needs php 5.0, Drupal core installation system does the rest. Anyway I'd check your web hosting before reporting a bug.

Can you take a look at your phpinfo page to confirm your php version?

phpinfo();

Also, you can try to remove the php line from the info file, it may work... If not, I'm sorry but at this point we won't pay any attention to php4 issues for 6.x version, that's what that requirement means...

Hi,

Yes I checked and it is indeed 4.4.9 on the php info page. I think I know what the problem is now. This is definitely an issue with the host.

Thanks so much!

I am closing this.
