"Content type subscriptions" are not showing up for admin - even though setup via:
- admin/config/messaging/subscriptions/content
- admin/config/messaging/notifications
- admin/structure/types/manage/my_content_type

I think you have to setup at least one messaging method. Go to admin/config/messaging/settings.

Thanks for your reply. I had already done that .

The issue was that the subscription links were not showing. As a work around, I created one via: notifications/subscription/add
