NodeQues front page image display

Hello, I am pretty new to drupal.

This is my first drupal site, I am interested in web designing, and this is a good learning opportunity for me.

I need help getting images to appear with the nodeques that are displayed on the front page. I am re-skinning a website, and taking the place of a previous web developer. and I'm having a little difficulty getting the images to appear along with the promoted items. I am using the cosburg theme, and the way the site has been set up, is that only blocks work on the front page. http://supertrees.bpmentors.com is the site I'm working on. It is an online store for trees and tree products. Attached is a mock-up on what I would like the front page to look like.

If you have any tips, help, or ideas on how I can make the front page more like the mockup page, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
