I have my content types with parent/child-relation set up without Nodehierarchy. I do like them to be in a hierarchical menu, and thought to use Nodehierarchy for this.
It turns out that Nodehierarchy uses its own , new field for establishing the relationship.
So it seems this module is not an add-on, but a stand-in for existing content types. Can I use an existing node-reference/term-reference field to create the menu item?

My current constellation is:
- content type Parent with term reference (using taxonomy Menu to create a menu for terms)
- content type Child with node reference field 'parent_ref'.
- Use Nodereference URL Widget to create a Child from a Parent.
- Use ViewReference to show the children of a view.

So:
1. Can I use this module to create a Parent node, and create a menu link as a subitem of the the term-menu item?
2. Can I use this module to create a Child node, and create a menu link using the existing field?
