Hello.

As searching through this issue queue I came along some tickets regarding the " features of nodeaccess to give referenced users special privileges on nodes" #2454581 . I could not find any info or configuration on that. I use the node access user reference module to accomplish something like this. Is this already built in?

Am I missing something?

Sorry no one replied! Short answer (for anyone who lands here):

  1. (Add the user_reference module)
  2. Add a user reference field to a content type
  3. Go to the nodeaccess settings page (/admin/config/people/nodeaccess)
  4. Scroll down to the content type to which you just added a user reference field -- if you expand the fieldset for that content type, you should have new checkboxes/settings available, based on the new user reference field.
