is it possible to make the way multiple nodereference edit areas configurable?

If you use a nodereference with more than one entry allowed, all possible entries are show.

It would be nice:

1. to have the possibility to configure to only show x (out of y allowed) edit areas at once, and a link to add 'one more' (which is availiable until all y edit areas are open).
2. be able to collapse allready filled in edit areas (espacially when only editing the main node or an other entry)
