Hi,

It's possible for a person to sign up multiple times through this trick:
say you own yourname@gmail.com
now you can use the plus symbol to create (i dont know what you call it) a sort of aliasses:
yourname+hello@gmail.com
yourname+hello2@gmail.com
yourname+hello3@gmail.com

(and yes, emails to those addresses will all land in your normal gmail box)

Maybe it's an idea to filter anything using a the + symbol...

If you make a patch for it to be an option (off by default), I'll add it. I don't really see it as a problem. Most sites only allow authorized users.
