After installing 1.4 version I no longer have a link to register. no matter what I do I cannot get the register link. I have given every user/role permission, looked at views and content type. I have 3 date fields training_start_date, registration_start_date and registration_end_date.

What am I missing?

That's hard to say from here. If you add ?debug=1 to a registration URL (or a URL where something registration is checked, like the event node), the module will add a watchdog entry with the reason you can't register.

Watchdog items: admin/reports/dblog.

The best way to be sure (and not clutter the watchdog table) is to try node/N/register?debug=1.

Example log message:

Thank you! It said it was an invalid registration start and end date. I removed the fields and now they show. I guess I just can't have those fields.
