Problem/Motivation

In my project i need to be able to alter the available menus in the node form depending on the context.
In my case i'm using the group module and depending on the active group i need to load a different menu than the one defined on the content type form.

Proposed resolution

Introduce a hook_node_menus_available_menus_alter so developpers can alter the list of available menus on the node edit form.

API changes

Introduce a new hook.
