While it's still not debugged/error-trapped, etc; and it doesn't migrate all the settings - I just hit a major milestone. I took a 2.x-dev OOTB install, created two galleries with 5 images each, and upgraded it. The result -- a fully working 3.x install!

If you have a throw-away installation that you don't care about, I'd appreciate any feedback. Read the UPGRADING.txt file, and search for the string '@todo:' to find everything that still needs done.

3.x is still a ways off, but there's good progress!

neat.. I see you have 251 commits at this point.. 'Progress' is most probably an understatement..
will do a couple of wamp tests later tonight since one of my data centers is down and can't work on much.. hmmmm(the snow on the east coast must be causing havoc), ahh it's only 20 sites.
